Display the Contents of a File

To display the contents of a file, type:

cat (filename)

This may be used to read text files.


Login Name

Display who is logged in on a computer.

whoami

This may be used if you find a computer unattended, or if you forget if you logged in as root.


Stop a Program

Stop a program you cannot stop by normal methods.

killall (name of program)
