Default Password

When Slax is first installed, you can only log in as root, and the password is toor. Anyone familiar with Slax knows this, and could log into your computer. The computer will be more secure if you change the root password.

Change Root Password

While running Slax, and logged in as root, open the terminal and type:

passwd

Enter a new root password. You will need to enter it twice.

Live CD

To change the root password on a live CD, Make a Modified Slax Live CD.
