Root File Manager

When perfoming tasks which do not need root or administrator privileges, use a normal file manager. Only use a root file manager to perform administrative tasks. If you do something wrong in the root file manager, you could mess up the operating system.

Rox

Install Rox Filer.

To start Rox File Manager as Root, open the Terminal and type:

sudo rox

Another option is to open the Root Terminal and type:

rox

Copy or Move Directories or Files

To copy or move directories or files, open two Rox File Manager windows, and drag them from one window to the other.

To open a second Rox File Manager window, drag the first one to an appropriate place on your screen. Open another one by typing the command in the terminal again.
