Window Managers

Tiny Core comes with the flwm window manager. You may use it as it is, and don't need to install another one.

However, if you want to install a different window manager, it may be installed using the same method as installing other programs.

Restart the computer for it to be loaded.

Examples of window managers include:

flwm

icewm

jwm

jwm-snapshot

wmaker

Xfce4base

More than One Window Manager

You can install more than one window manager, and specify desktop=name bootcode (in the line following kernel). For example, desktop=jwm or desktop=xfce4.

You can have more than one entry in Grub, and use different window managers at different times.

Microcore

Microcore may be installed as explained in Install Microcore. During installation select a window manager.
